    Easley, SC

    at the Firetower Flyers R/C Club field, I-85 Exit 27 
    • 80" MONO, 60" MULTI-WING MINIMUMS
    • RESTRICTED TO WARBIRDS ONLY, IN MILITARY OF CIVILIAN PAINT
    • $15 ENTRY FEE / AMA REQUIRED
    • FLYING HOURS 8AM - 5 PM EDT both days
    • RV PARKING & CAMPING (no hookups)
    • 900' x 100’ TURF RUNWAY- long approaches & large over-fly area (no trees in front of flight line) – great site!

    Field located off of I-85, Exit 27  - northbound turn left; southbound turn right on SC81, go 2.8 miles then left on Mt. View, (Hwy S-4-57). Go 2.2 miles and right on Firetower Rd for ½ mile. Turn left and go 3/10ths mile to field. 

    Important motel information: Due to the Clemson football game this weekend, motel rooms are scarce closest to the flying field.

    The Holiday Inn Express at the field (exit 27 & HWY 81) is the closest, 1-888-HOLIDAY, but full. Try it in case there was a cancellation. More motels & restaurants are located at the Anderson exits, south of the field on I-85, #19A & 19B. Also, try the LaQuinta, north on I-85 at Woodruff Road: (864) 297-3500; H-Inn Express , I-85 @ Woodruff Rd, 1-864-678-5555, & others in Greenville.

      Field located off of US 331, 7 miles south of South Blvd. Take I-85 to I-65 south. Go to South Blvd Exit 168, left, then 2 miles east to US 331, right on 331, go 7 miles to field. After passing Pirtles Puddle Lake on left, turn LEFT into dirt drive across the 4-lane from the vet clinic.

    Directions to flying site: Southbound on US29: From Altavista, continue south to the Gretna - US29 Business exit. Go south on US29 Business to Blue Ridge Drive. Left on Blue Ridge, go 1 mile to Deer View Dr. Right on Deer View for 7/10th mile, then right into Shelton Horse Farm. 

    Northbound on US29 from Danville: take the Gretna/US29 Business exit. From downtown Gretna, proceed on US 29 Business North to Blue Ridge Dr. Right turn on Blue Ridge. Go 1 mile to Deer View Dr. Right on Deer View for 7/10th mile, then right into Shelton Horse Farm.

    At the http://www.gatewayrc.org field, Jacksonville, located in Lannie Road Park. Take I-10, then I-295 to Lem Turner Rd exit north to a right on Lannie Rd. 

    GA southbound on I-75: exit at Tifton: go east on US82 to Waycross. Then, take US1 south to Callahan, then HWY 115 south that becomes Lem Turner Rd in FL. Take left on Lannie Rd to site.
